Hi all, I’ve been following along with this Handicapping Method ( BHM ) since the Pace Advantage days, and I still go back and reread those posts. Just trying to learn.
When BoxCar and MDCapper started to show the PP Chart of the horse under consideration, I thought, WOW ! Neat , then Buzz started too! This is a great tool to learn from, and interact to with the other Learners on the forum. I have been very hesitant getting into the posting because of the Complexity and Newness of this method, and the terror of making a fool of myself when I do. Nonetheless, I’ve been learning and growing in the capacity to see things in a very different way as per BoxCar and his BHM.
I happen to use the ProCaps Data files from TSN, 59.95 a Month for the unlimited downloads, may be overkill, but you do get other software too. Converting them to Custom PP format, with all the choices available in that program, lets you view the data in just about any form you please Except, - No mark up is available and you have to print the races and then mark them up with pen or pencil. I know you can “print” them to Adobe Acrobat and then mark them up as you please as per MDCapper. Another and other PDF Creator programs are out there and are quite inexpensive to own, and it is fun to open these files, then Zoom in to the area to be read, do the mark ups and see what you are doing. Anyhow a good program is “PDF Creator Plus 3.0" and there are others probably as good or better. Go Google for PDF. Or buy Acrobat.
I wasn’t paying enough attention to the Angles until I replied to a post, then upon seeing my anonymous answer and I was still here and alive, well Heck , I’ll try again.
Studying, memorizing, and learning to see the power angles and what is important, is Hard for this old guy, But I’m trying. –Very Trying--

MDCapper has all the pertenant details in the General Discussion Area.

Thanks for the soapbox -Bill-

Being able to mark up PDF PP's has made a great difference in my game. I picked up an old Fujitsu 3500 a few months ago. It runs Windows 2000, and is not fully compatible with the new Tablet PC operating system, but is fully functional and you can pick one up for a couple of hundred bucks. The 10" screen is a bit small, but the couple of hundred vs. the couple of thousand pricetag on a new tablet pc makes up for it. It's great being able to walk around with my form and mark it up.

I use Primo PDF to produce the pdf's. It's free. Foxit reader has a full set of markup tools in the free version or you can pay $40.00 if you want to print your annotations. Foxit reader is much smaller and faster than Adobe Reader.
